what You water grows

I have been thinking about this a lot for the last couple of weeks. How what you water grows. How obvious it is. You knowit I know it. And yet, how damn difficult it is to stick to watering what you love, because other things simply absorb your reality. Absorb you.

The corporate life I live and am absorbed by is where I put all my energy in my everyday life. However, it is far from where I want to prioritize growth. This page, having the opportunity to ventilate and perhaps shed some light in someones life here and there, is something that I love doing. And yet, it is so hard to stick to doing it on a regular basis.

Shelley wrote under my latest post from January 2021: ”Ending up in the wrong place... Why haven't you posted anything since January, 2021?” Well Shelley my friend (and the first comment ever on this inactive page), to be completely honest, I have been utterly terrible lately at watering some of the things that I love. And as a result, I have not been here. I sure do plan to change that with this first post as a first step towards just that. But in the meantime, I have found other things that I started watering that bring me meaning, joy, peace, purpose, and most importantly, that make me land softly and steadily in the “now”. More about that some other time. Because I am going to come in here more often now. That deal with myself I will not break.

QUESTIONS

What are the things in life that you want to see grow? Are you doing them? If not, what is stopping you? See the hurdles, embrace them. Dance past them in a romantic yet decisive tango. I’ll join you on that journey.

I’ll be back to water this little plant of inner words coming out on paper (computer). Soon.
